Google Messages
Google Messages is an SMS and instant messaging app developed by Google for Android devices. It was launched on November 12, 2014, and supports Rich Communication Services (RCS) messages since 2018. While the app does not currently support end-to-end encryption, there have been indications of development for this feature in leaked internal versions as of May 23, 2020. As of April 2020, the app had accumulated over a billion installs, likely due to Google's expanded rollout of Rich Communication Services to various countries independent of carrier support.
